As the poor girl rambled on, the old man sighed softly and raised his wrinkly hand up to calm his daughter down and cease her speaking. "Danilia, my girl...I can not be mad at you for entering the forest, or for even going against my word. I can see the fear in your eyes and I can tell that you punished yourself enough...But, to make sure you keep your word, you are grounded from leaving the farm. you may continue your chores out in the field, but that is as far as you go..." the farmer then stood up slowly, grunting a little as he felt his old bones grind. He looked down at his daughter and gave her a well needed hug of affection, "Ahh, my little Danilia, it felt like only yesterday you were too afraid to open your closet..." he said softly with a warm heart, he than chuckled with a husk in his tone as he added, "Ah, now, like I said, for worrying both your old man and your mother, you are not alloud to leave the farm until the end of month. thats three weeks away young lass, are we clear?"

I nodded slowly, returning his hug. "I understand, Father..." I said, knowing there was no way out of it this time. "Now.. I'm going to go change into something clean, and then I'll start my chores..."

Her father nods, "Alright, be sure you do, you can start by..." meanwhile, while he started a list of chores for Danilia, the daughter couldnt help but notice that Slidera was peering through the window behind her father. Her large head loomed over the glass as she looked at Danilia, her expression seeming eager. the father had yet to notice, but no doubt it was making danilia very anxious...

I nearly panicked, but I managed to at least appear calm. I made a vague motion to shoo her away, not wanting my father to see her.

Slidera frowned with narrow eyes, making an expression that translated as, "How dare you 'shoo' me, I am not a cat!"
The old farmer noticed his daughter seeming vaguely restless about something, suspicious, he tilted his brow and said intently, "Are you alright, Danilia? you seem...nervous?"

"I'm fine, Father..." I assured him. "Just.. still nervous from last night, I suppose..." I glanced between him and Slidera, trying to get the message across that my father shouldn't see her.

Slidera maintained her frown as she glared at Danilia with narrow eyes as she stuck out her forked tongue breifly in impulse. Then, the Tirbrin moved out of view of the window, just before the farmer turned around to see what his daughter was glancing at. when he saw nothing he decided to dismiss it, and continue to speak. but before he could, he heard his wife shreik and in a panic, the two rushed to help only to realize that it was merely a false alarm...apparantly the mother had overcooked the breakfest pancakes.
"Oh, Fera! Why must you scare me like that...You'll drive this old fool into an early grave." the farmer saifd with a sigh of relief.
"Sorry, honey...but I just hate the sight of perfectly good food wasted before it even has a chance to be eaten..." the wife replies with a frown...
but just when it seemed as though the daughter could relax, it turned out that Slidera in fact did not heed her request and was peering through the kitchen window instead as the father tried to help the mother clean the stove. All it took was a single glance to their left and the secret wouldve been out...just...one...glance....!!!

I half-glared at her, wishing she'd just hide like she was supposed to. With my parent's backs to me, I attempted to motion more clearly for her to go back to the barn by pointing to her, then the barn. I really hoped she would listen this time, or else we were going to be in a world of trouble when my parents turned around. Though, more so her than me because she was the one that my parents would probably think was a monster.

Slidera frowned once more, then shook her head defiently as she pointed back at her with her flat flipper like hand and pointd in the direction of the barn as well.

I looked, having no idea what to expect. I expected it to be disastrous, though, and I was right. "The barn's on fire!" I shouted, surprised. I had no idea what caused it, but I figured it somehow had something to do with Slidera. But, rather than dwelling on that, I rushed to get a bucket of water to try and put the fire out.

(oh... I thought you had something planned, and I just decided the barn was on fire. XD)
I sighed a bit, nodding. "Well, I'm going to just start my chores, then..." I said, heading straight to the barn. Once we were in there, I turned to glare at Slidera. "Can't this wait a bit? Is it really worth risking my parents seeing you?"

(No, I was just meaning to have this segment to be humorous only. XD)
"Oh dont give me that!" Slidera replied as she sat down on her hind quarters, her wrists against the sides of her waists as she glared back down at Danilia, "I'd think taking care of your tirbrin would be most important! I mean really, you expect me to hide in this awful den of filth and putrid stenches? And to leave your sword in such a pit is unforgivable! I demand a relocation immediately, starting with a nice warm bath!"

(ah, okay.)
I sighed. "There's not exactly anywhere else to put you..." I said. "You know my parents can't see you. Just.. just hang on until tonight, please... I'll bring the sword inside, it's probably safer under my bed anyway. And, I can't get you a hot bath. I mean, even I don't get hot water... But I can at least get you a bath. Just, please, please, please... Just stay in here and out of sight until tonight... Okay?"

Slidera crossed her arms with a stubborn pout on her face...but she reluctantly complied and kept her mouth shut until Danilia could return.

"Thank you." I said. "I know it's not the nicest place, but it's the best we have. Just be glad it's relatively clean. And I would know, because it's my job to keep it that way."

Slidera huffed, "Tell that to the cattle that left this permiating gift here in the hey pile..." she said with disgust as she glanced over at a large mound of reeking matter, so warm that it steamed in the cold early morning air.

I sighed. "And, my chores begin..." I said, going to grab a shovel. No point in going back for something clean to wear now. I was already here, and I was going to get dirty again anyway.

When her chores were finally done it was already evening and supper would be ready soon, however, that did leave a problem seeing as how Slideara's stomach began to growl. However, Danilia was already inside the house and shehad already urged her strongly not to go leave the barn without risking anyone seeing her. Yet the endless ache in her belly was driving her nuts, and her picky appetite wasnt helping either as she scoffed at the idea of feeding off the live cattle tht slept in the stables next to her. She sighed in frustration until she suddenly noticed the strong alluring scent of frashly cooked meat on an open fire...despite Danilia's pleads earlier, she needed something to eat. She figured no one will notice her under the cover of night, she then decided to leave as soon as it was dark and snuck away from the farm to follow the delicious scent of burning meat. Eventually, her nose lead her to what appeared to be the butcher's house where just around the back he was having an open roast with his family. Danilia knew them well, the Butcher was plump but had bulky arms from years of physical labor and had a buld head with a pushy brown beared. His three children were of two daughters and an elder son; Mali Tali and Barthol. The butcher's wife, Gala, was also a rather strong looking individual, with firm arms and firmer grip as she assisted her husband with the meat shop and in this case help him season the dinner and turn the spit.
Slidera remained hidden behind the house as she stared hungrily at the large hunk of meat that continued to slowly spiral over the open flames as if beckoning her. Meanwhile back at the farm...
