(I'm baaaaaaaaaaack~)
The air was cold, icey infact, leaving an almost numbing chill against the bare skin. The night was dark, void of light as the vague shape of looming trees struggled to keep clear silhuette forms to distinguish their presence. It wasnt obvious at first, but it was much more clear now that this was indeed a forest. However, something seemed...different about. A lingering feeling that suggested that the trees seemed vastly endless.

(Yaaaaaaaay~)
Sarah looked around, frightened. She shivered in her pretty white dress that was made for summer. "M..Mommy?!" she called out, frightened. She didn't know where she was, but she knew she had to find her mom. She tried to remember what was going on. Why was she in her dress? Now she remembered! She had been at her friend's party! She remembered falling asleep on the way home. She figured she must still be asleep, and this was her dream. She looked around the forest. It was pretty scary for a dream. Maybe it was a nightmare. Even so, she decided the best thing to do was start walking. She hugged her head close to her, not even yet realizing she held her head in her arms. As far as she knew, she was just holding onto one of the many stuffed animals that she usually had with her.

As the girl continued to wander aimlessly, the sound of another pair of footsteps could be heard in the distance. the pace of the steps were steady and calm, and emerging from the darkness that was creating this sound, was what appeared to be a tall, slim man. He looked like a social worker, or a business man. He was wearing a smooth, sleek, black suit with a gray tie, white gloves, carrying a black umbrella, and sharp, angular black shoes that didnt seem like they would fit on normal human feet. However, that wasnt what struck the entity as odd, it was his face. Covering his face was a strange rabbit mask with abnormally elongated smile, with large, empty eye sockets. Also protuding from the sides of his head were long, slender, black ears. He appeared before the girl, at a distance, but his presence was like a ghost. However, to ease any tension, the masked stranger suddenly spoke in a soft, polite tone, "Excuse me, young miss? But are you lost?" he had a lovely voice, it was a light brittish accent.

Sarah nodded, still assuming that this was all a dream. "I..I'm looking for my mommy..." the seven-year-old said, smiling a little at his somewhat silly appearance. "Can you help me find her, Mister Bunny?"

"Your mother...?" He said, his tone slightly slower as he spoke of that subject. He then altered the topic and said in a more positive demeanor, "My, what lovely manners you have. Tell me, before I answer your request, my I have the pleasure of YOUR name, young miss?"

"I'm Sarah." she said, still holding her head close as if she were clinging to a stuffed animal. "Nice to meet you, Mister Bunny." She smiled up at him, feeling more comfortable around him. "Now, c'mon~ Let's find Mommy~" She shifted her head to one arm, reaching out for his white-gloved hand.

The stranger seemed oblivious to the fact she was holding the severed head of her own mother, and with a slow and calm reach, he grasps the girl's small hand with his tender, elegant fingers. Suddenly, a horrible howl echoed in the far distance, a sound like nothing the girl had heard before in her life.

(no, she's holding her own head. Her mom's still alive. Sorry if that was unclear. Not about her mother, I never mentioned that. I meant about her head)
Sarah gasped and moved closer her her strange bunny-man, nearly dropping her head. "W-w-what was that..?" she stammered, frightened. She was beginning to think this might be a nightmare instead of a dream. "Is that a.. a s-scary monster...?"

(wait, yeah, now I'm really confused, so her mother is alive, but the she is currently holding is her not er mother's but infact her own? So is she holding her head while her neck is just a stump, or is it that she is a ghost holding her real head?)

(Her neck is a stump and she's holding her ghost-head. But she hasn't realized it yet. She doesn't even know she's dead. She thinks she's dreaming right now. I have a picture somewhere that my friend drew for me. If I can find it, I'll take a picture and upload it.)

(That still leaves the question of how she doesnt notice that? I know she is a ghost, but surely she would realize it when she'd hug herself in her chest, or found it odd that her hands were constantly holding her chin?)

( I dunno... To be honest, I didn't really think about that. I'm trying to come up with reasons now. I mean, she's only just become a ghost. And... I guess maybe she doesn't feel it..? I dunno why, I always thought ghosts didn't really feel things physically. Unless, like, you try to exorcise them or something. That would probably hurt. But.. I dunno... Again, I didn't really think of it.)

(I dont mean to sound crude, its just that this whole just confused me a whole bunch now. But I'll just roll with it and let you figure it out as we go along.)
"Indeed..." The stranger confirms with a more serious tone. As he surveyed the area around them, he continued to explain their current predicament as he said, "There are wolves out tonight...I am afraid your mother will have to wait. Now we must find shelter." He glances down at Sarah and points with the end of his umbrella towards the east, assuming it was east, and said, "There is a small house, not too far from here; an orphanage. There, we will find safe haven."

(nah, it's okay. Thank you for pointing it out. I just kinda liked the image of her carrying her own head, so i went with that without thinking. I'm glad you did, because that's something I probably SHOULD have realized. Maybe it's better if I have her head barely attached? Like Nearly-Headless Nick, from Harry Potter. XD)
Sarah nodded, staying close to him. "Wolves are scary..." she said. "But.. you'll keep me safe... Right, Mister Bunny?"
(I actually thought of another idea. Since her head is severed, maybe she can't feel anything in her head. Not even the fact that she's holding her head. Would that work? I don't know...)

(hmmm, the best thing that I can see making sense, would be that because of how she died, she probably suffered serious head trauma. So, she is probably delusional, very VERY delusional. I think you may be right about how because she is a ghost she may not fully understand. I mean, most ghosts dont even realize they are dead...I honestly have no idea because I was planning to go into this rp wiyth the full impression that she was holding her mom's head. Because I had this idea that, since Smiley is the reaper of children, this was kinda his way of gradually helping them accept that they are dead and need to move on, and I thought the mother head would prove great as a plot tool because it would serve as that realizaation that the girl is dead. But now, I dont know, it feels like if Smiley tells her shes dead by pointing out the fact that she's holding her own head, no matter how sincere he may be, its gonna make the girl look foolish in that regard. I honestly dont know Dani. you want to just restart or keep going?)

(Hmm... That would make sense. But, I see your point about her mom's head. So... I could change it to that. It would actually make a bit more sense as well. But, now that I think about it, pointing out her mom's head would only prove that her mom is dead, not that she's dead. Maybe since he suggested the orphanage, he could prove that she's a ghost by the fact that nobody can see her? And/or maybe someone walks through her? Or ending up at her own funeral/grave, to see her mother one last time? (kinda wanted this to happen either way) I dunno... I would rather keep going, because I kinda like how this has been going so far. Even with all the confusions.)

(I say continue as is, with her holding her own head. With the great reason you mentioned about being disorientated/delusional after dying.)

"Of course, Ms. Sarah." He said as he gingerly held the child's hand. "We dont have much time, this way, young miss."
